Istituto Comprensivo “L. Chitti” Cittanova
The ‘Luigi Chitti’ Institute is situated in Cittanova, an Italian municipality in the metropolitan city of Reggio Calabria. The ‘L. Chitti’ Comprehensive Institute comprises three types of school: Nursery School, Primary School and Grade I Secondary School.
The institute’s mission is to train students as future citizens of society, capable of facing change, open to dialogue and confrontation with others, aware of their role as students and citizens, motivated to grow on a human, cultural and professional level, attentive in adopting behaviour to defend and protect the environment.

The school has been operating in the current building since October 13, 1968, although the school’s traditions are much older and date back to the 18th century.
The school is located in a nice, well-kept building. Over the last few years, the school has undergone many renovations, including: all windows in both corridors were replaced (the others were replaced earlier), all classroom doors were replaced, and students’ toilets were renovated (remembering 1968). The sidewalk along the school was rebuilt and the stairs were also renovated.
Even though we currently only have a handful of students, the school can boast of successes. We will write about them on an ongoing basis. We encourage you to see the “This is what we are proud of” board at school.

Bahçeşehir College has pioneered adoption of STEM+A educational model in Turkey which is a project-oriented model based on combination of multi-disciplines in sciences, technology, engineering, mathematics and arts taught together, and the model implemented at all campuses of the institution across Turkey starting from preschool grades. STEM+A educational model is employed to educate individuals who are capable of solving the problems of the future and who can think creatively and convert ideas into results. At STEM+A Centers featuring multi-purpose laboratories for production-based education and STEM+A focused projects, students are enabled to use state-of-the-art instruments such as 3D printers, CNC lathe & turning, laser cutters, such as computerized hot wire cutting tools that are hard to come by even in universities, in order to manufacture prototypes for their projects in “Computer Assisted Drawing and Modeling”, “RC Model Production Club – RCCLUB”, TUBITAK projects, patenting, utility model production classes offered within Bahçeşehir College curriculum as elective courses in all campuses of Bahçeşehir College.
